C2 Capital invests €15 million in Everbio: advisors
SRS Legal advised C2 Capital on a €15 million investment in Everbio, a company within the IMG Group that centralises the Group’s research and development (R&D) activities. Abreu Advogados has advised Grupo IMG on this operation. Everbio, established in 2024 by Grupo IMG, was created with the goal of unifying the R&D activities of the companies within the Grupo IMG, previously dispersed across Evertis, Selenis, and Renascis.
This investment is part of Grupo IMG’s investment plan of approximately €39.5 million. It will allow Everbio to establish, in Portalegre, an industrial innovation hub responsible for defining and implementing the Group’s R&D strategy, focusing on recycling and circularity, the development of high-performance sustainable materials, green and efficient production processes, and the promotion of collaborative innovation.
SRS Legal’s legal advice to C2 Capital covered the structuring of the transaction and the preparation and negotiation of the contractual documentation associated with the investment, with the involvement of partner Gustavo Ordonhas Oliveira and associate Solange Fernandes.
On Abreu’s side, the operation was led by hired partner Diogo Pessanha, with the participation of hired partner Miguel Rodrigues Leal, senior associate Benedita Pessanha, and trainee lawyers Inês Matos Soares and Pedro Ferreira G. Henriques.
