A&O promotes Jaime Rodriguez to counsel

Allen & Overy has appointed Jaime Rodriguez as European and Competition Law counsel

Since 2009, Jaime Rodríguez (pictured) has been a Competition and Antitrust senior associate at Allen & Overy. Before joining A&O, he worked at Linklaters.

According to his firm, Jaime has significant experience in merger notification to the European Commission and the Spanish Competition Authority, as well as handling multijurisdictional filings to other competition authorities worldwide. He also has substantial experience defending companies and trade associations in infringement proceedings dealing with collusive behaviour (cartels) and abuses of dominance.

Jaime has also advised large multinational companies on state aid matters. Moreover, he has also litigated before the Spanish Audiencia Nacional (High Court) in Competition law appeals. Jaime has advised on several sectors such as construction, food, retail, medical devices as well as on electronic payment devices.
