Garrigues advises Apax on GamaLife sale to BPCE
Garrigues in Portugal has advised Apax Partners on the sale of GamaLife, a Portuguese life insurance company, to French banking group Groupe BPCE.
Apax acquired GamaLife from Novo Banco in 2019, a transaction in which Garrigues also provided legal advice. The firm has therefore acted for the private equity investor at both the entry and exit stages of its investment in the insurer.
The Garrigues team was led by Mário Lino Dias, partner in the M&A practice. He was supported by José de Seabra Marcão, principal associate, and Inês Freire de Andrade, senior associate.
