Svea Bank adds Giada Scarnera as compliance officer

Svea Bank has appointed Giada Scarnera as compliance officer in Spain, based in Barcelona. She joins the Swedish financial services group from Italy, where she latey served as Galileo Green Energy’s group compliance manager, overseeing compliance programmes, internal controls and whistleblowing procedures across the group, including its special purpose vehicles (SPVs).

Scarnera specialises in compliance, regulatory investigations and financial crime. Her background includes eight years at Clifford Chance, where she worked on risk assessments, compliance frameworks, internal investigations, audits, business ethics and international sanctions, as well as cross-border transactions.
