Evergreen Legal advises Bizum on EuroNet launch
Evergreen Legal has advised Spanish fintech Bizum on the constitution and launch of European Network for Payments (“EuroNet for Payments” or “ENP”), a Madrid-headquartered “BridgeCo” that will connect major European payment solutions to create a joint platform across the continent.
The project is designed to link 13 countries and 130 million users through a dedicated infrastructure intended to compete with international payment operators.
Evergreen Legal advised Bizum, from a corporate standpoint, on the negotiation and execution of the shareholders’ agreement for the new entity, together with the remaining contractual and corporate documentation required for the incorporation and launch of ENP. The transaction involved a multijurisdictional structure that required coordination across several jurisdictions and parties involved.
