Pérez-Llorca with Prodi on Atlas FC acquisition
Pérez-Llorca advised Grupo Prodi on the acquisition of Atlas FC from Orlegi Sports Global, structured through the purchase of 100% of the share capital of Kondaira, the holding company of the Atlas FC group. The transaction closed on 30 June 2026 for a confidential amount.
Atlas FC, based in Guadalajara, competes in Mexico’s Liga MX. The club changes ownership after previously operating under Orlegi Sports Global, with Grupo Prodi now taking control through its acquisition of Kondaira, the entity that held the club’s assets and operations.
Perez-Llorca advised on the transaction with a cross-border team from Spain and Mexico, led by corporate M&A partners Julio Lujambio and Alberto Bustamante (Mexico). The team also included corporate M&A lawyers Ignacio Mozo, Jaime Pérez Torroja, Juan Sánchez and Jesús García; banking & finance partner Ildefonso Arenas and lawyer Beatrice Lapi; and antitrust counsel Patricio Martínez (Mexico).
