Cuatrecasas advises Greenalia on €160M biomass plant refinancing

Cuatrecasas has advised Greenalia Biomass Power Curtis-Teixeiro, a subsidiary of Greenalia, on the execution of a €160 million financing agreement with Natixis. The funds will be used to refinance the debt of its 150 MW biomass plant located in Curtis-Teixeiro (A Coruña). The plant, operational since 2021, is the largest in Galicia and one of the largest in Spain. It employs has the capacity to process over 500,000 tonnes of forestry residues from sustainably managed plantations.

The Cuatrecasas team advising on the transaction included partner Agustín Cerdá, as well as lawyers Íñigo Várez, Guillermo Castellanos, and Minerva Nuez, from the finance practice group.
