Deloitte appoints 37 new partners in Spain, 10 in tax & legal

Deloitte has appointed 37 new partners in Spain, bringing the firm’s total number of partners to 410, 10 of whom are in legal. The new appointments reinforce Deloitte’s capabilities across all service lines: audit & assurance; strategy, risk & transactions (SRT); technology & transformation (T&T); and tax & legal.

Deloitte España confirmed that 31 of the new partners have been promoted internally, while six join the partnership through external hires. The appointments take effect from 1 June.

“This promotion reflects the strong growth recorded by Deloitte over the past financial year and highlights the strength of its talent development model”, the firm said. “Over the last four years, this model has enabled the incorporation of nearly 150 new partners, predominantly through internal promotion”.

The new partners are:

Audit & Assurance: Diego Ferreras, Julio Alberto Muinelo, José Ignacio Quiroga, Christian Sarrias and Jean Marc Toullec.

Strategy, Risk & Transactions: Sergi Corominas, María Begoña Escrigas, Ibon García, Alberto Gadea, Luis González, Rubén Gutiérrez, Santiago López, Tomás Meca and María Velarde.

Technology & Transformation: Borja Alcedo, Jorge Antonio Colomer, Sandra Corredoira, Llorenç Cerdà, Félix de Andrés, Silvia Díaz, Rafael Doncel, David Fernández, Emilio García, Carlos López, Imanol Martín, Laura Sánchez and Sergio Vilanova.

Tax & Legal: Álvaro Alarcón, Borja Coghen, Guillermo Donadeu, Julia Durántez and Sergio Ramírez, all promoted internally. External hires include Inmaculada Castelló, who joined Deloitte in September from Dentons, and Paul Handal, who joined in January. The remaining three — Juan de Navasqües, Borja Martín Arisa and Alfonso Bayona — joined from Pinsent Masons.

Commenting on the appointments, Ana Torrens, chair of Deloitte Spain, said: “The transformation our clients are undergoing requires partners who can integrate sector expertise, technological innovation and strategic vision. These new partners embody that combination of capabilities and reflect our commitment to developing top talent. This promotion strengthens a solid, multidisciplinary partnership, well positioned to support organisations in their key challenges related to growth, transformation and value creation.”
