Legalcommunity Week 2026: diary of the final day
From June 9 to 12, the tenth edition of Legalcommunity Week takes place in Milan, the event dedicated to the Italian and international business legal community. Once again this year, the Hotel Principe di Savoia has confirmed its role as the beating heart of the event, hosting conferences, roundtables, and in-depth discussions on the key issues transforming the legal market, the role of general counsel, and the relationship between professionals, companies, and institutions.
Alongside the professional discussions, there was no shortage of networking and social events, long-standing hallmarks of the initiative. Cocktails, exclusive in-house counsel events, and networking opportunities accompanied a particularly final day of the legal week.
On Legal Community you can find the updated program of all events and registration links.

Last day with Tax and AI
The final day of Legalcommunity Week focused on some of the most pressing issues for the profession: international taxation, meritocracy in the legal market, artificial intelligence, innovation in the pharmaceutical sector, and the dynamics of the fashion & luxury industry.
Supporting the day’s program were Maisto e Associati, BAT and SWOT Legal, Legora, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, and Baker McKenzie, partners of the various in-depth sessions that animated the closing discussions of the event.
The morning opened with the conference “2026 Tax Update: Corporate Groups and Wealth Management Industry”, dedicated to the most recent developments in tax law and taxation.
Following introductory remarks by Aldo Scaringella, CEO of LC Publishing Group, and the opening speech by Guglielmo Maisto, senior partner of Maisto e Associati, proceedings moved into a keynote address by Marco Osnato, Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies.
The conference was structured into several sessions. The first session, dedicated to global mobility and home office matters, featured Guglielmo Maisto, Johann Hattingh (University of Cape Town), and Giuseppe Zingaro (UniCredit). This was followed by a discussion on corporate welfare and the new challenges related to benefits management, with Andrea Benigni (ECA Italia), Sara Lautieri (Reale Mutua Assicurazioni), Marco Valdonio (Maisto e Associati), and Lorenzo Zanoni (Prada).

The morning continued with a session on the evolution of tax inspections and audits, involving Francesco Centonze (Studio Legale Associato Centonze), Stefano Trettel (Fininvest), and Cesare Silvani (Maisto e Associati), followed by an in-depth look at VAT developments with Giannaede Ferracani (Confindustria), Andrea Rottoli (Maisto e Associati) and Maria Delia Ruggiero (MEF Ministry of Economy and Finance). The conference concluded with a session dedicated to personal taxation and wealth management, featuring Marco Cerrato (Maisto e Associati), Alberto Cirillo (Goldman Sachs), Omar Ezzat (UBS), and Biagio Izzo (Algebri Investments), followed by closing remarks from Paolo Valerio Barbantini (Fincantieri Group), who addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on tax control activities.
In parallel, the roundtable “Is the Legal Market Truly Meritocratic?” examined meritocracy and career development opportunities within the legal market. Moderated by journalist Michela Cannovale, the discussion included Umberto Baldi (Snam), Massimiliano De Santis (OVS Group), Federico Raffaele (TIM), Flavia Maria Tavasci (British American Tobacco), and Ian Tully (SWOT Legal).

Attention then shifted to one of the most discussed topics of the entire event: the impact of artificial intelligence on the legal sector and businesses. The roundtable “Impact of AI on Corporates and Law Firms,” moderated by Flavio Caci, brought together Attilio Abeille (Legora), Antonio Adami (Recurrent Energy), Benedetto Lonato (LCA Studio Legale), Fabrizio Manzi (Italiaonline), Stefano Mele (Gianni & Origoni), and Angelica Orlando (Sky Italia). The discussion explored the opportunities offered by generative AI and its organizational, strategic, and regulatory implications for law firms and corporate legal departments.

Final roundtables with Rock the Law
After the lunch break, the day continued with the roundtable “The Role of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Innovation: The State of Scientific Research in Italy,” focusing on the pharmaceutical sector’s contribution to scientific research and innovation in the country. Moderated by Laura Orlando (Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer), the session featured Federico Aloisi (Otsuka Pharmaceutical Italy), Sara Balice (Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer), Camilla Cocuzza (Eli Lilly Italia), Francesca Messana (Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Italy), Rubina Novelli (Dompé Farmaceutici), and Professor Christodoulos Xinaris (Istituto Mario Negri IRCCS).

Bringing the conference program of Legalcommunity Week 2026 to a close was the roundtable “Fashion & Luxury”, which gathered professionals and managers from some of the leading Italian and international brands in the sector. Participants included Andrea Bonante (Moncler and Stone Island), Paola Colarossi and Anna Marina De Vivo (Baker McKenzie), Sara Citterio (Trussardi), Francesco Falcone (Sella Investment Banking), Michele Marocchino (Lazard), and Lorenzo Maria Di Vecchio (Guess Europe). Moderated by Letizia Ceriani, the discussion focused on the challenges facing the luxury sector, from extraordinary transactions and governance to brand management and innovation.

Finally, sealing the conclusion of the event was the traditional “Rock the Law” corporate music contest, live at the Magazzini Generali in Milan. As every year, the event brought together professionals, managers, and members of the business community in an informal and convivial setting, closing the tenth edition of Legalcommunity Week under the sign of networking, sharing, and rock music.
