Pérez-Llorca advises Sonnedix on solar portfolio acquisition
Sonnedix has completed the acquisition of a portfolio of eight operational photovoltaic solar plants in Spain, with a combined capacity of 13.3 MW, pushing its total operational capacity in the country beyond 1.3 GW. Pérez-Llorca acted as legal adviser and led the negotiation of the purchase agreement.
The acquired assets operate under Spain’s Recore framework — the regulated remuneration scheme applicable to certain renewable energy, cogeneration, and waste installations. Under this scheme, revenues are linked to administratively set parameters, providing greater income visibility compared to assets fully exposed to the wholesale electricity market. The plants are distributed across different regions of Spain. The transaction price and the identity of the seller have not been disclosed.
For Sonnedix, the deal reinforces its platform of diversified and scalable solar assets in one of its key markets, through the selective incorporation of quality operational installations with consolidated production profiles and sound technical performance, states Pérez-Llorca.
