Dentons advises UniCredit on renewables deal
Dentons has advised UniCredit Bank GmbH on the financing of a multi-technology renewable energy portfolio structured through a BidCo/HoldCo platform controlling several special purpose vehicles (SPVs) holding the underlying assets.
The transaction involved the granting of senior facilities and required the design of a complex top-down security package aimed at addressing structural subordination issues typically arising in HoldCo financings.

Dentons advised UniCredit Bank GmbH with a multidisciplinary team led by finance partner Luis Belart, alongside energy partner Fermín Garbayo and regulatory partner Miguel Ángel Barroso. Associates Miguel del Río, Manuel Lamela and Cristina Ramírez also participated in the transaction.
