Garrido hires Francisco J Palacio as tax of counsel
Garrido has hired Francisco J Palacio as of counsel in its tax practice. He joins from the Central Economic-Administrative Court (TEAC), where he developed most of his career within the Spanish tax administration.
Palacio brings more than 40 years of experience in public tax law. In his most recent role, he served as head of the collection division at the TEAC, having previously held positions in different areas, including personal income tax and VAT.
Throughout his career, he has held several senior roles within the administration, including deputy secretary general at the General Intervention Board of the State Administration. Palacio will combine his role at the firm with teaching activities in specialised tax law programmes.
