Linklaters appoints Álvaro Albiñana as tax counsel

Linklaters has appointed Álvaro Albiñana as counsel in its tax practice in Madrid. The promotion will become effective on 1 May 2026.

Albiñana has experience in tax advisory on private capital and M&A transactions, both domestic and international, as well as in real estate transactions, structured finance and restructurings.

Focus on transactional tax

Throughout his career, he has worked on tax analysis applied to financial models of sponsors (tax modelling) and on investment structures related to private equity funds, including carried interest. He has also contributed to the development of Spanish regulation in this area and has advised domestic and international funds on the structuring of their investments.
