Héctor Pérez Tapia joins Ejaso as tax partner

Ejaso has appointed Héctor Pérez Tapia as a new partner in the tax practice at its Madrid office. He joins the firm from Selier Abogados, where he most recently served as managing partner of the tax department. David Pérez Francisco also joins Ejaso as principal associate in the same practice area.

Héctor Pérez Tapia has experience in global wealth, financial and tax planning for private banking clients, with a particular focus on high net worth individuals (HNWIs) and ultra high net worth individuals (UHNWIs). His practice also covers advisory work on M&A transactions, tax planning, project finance and real estate tax, areas in which he has regularly advised on complex structures and transactions. In parallel, Pérez Tapia currently serves as board member, secretary to the board of directors and general counsel of Corecapital Finanzas.

His professional profile is complemented by significant academic and outreach activity at institutions such as Universidad Carlos III of Madrid, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and Universidad Europea de Madrid. He is also a regular contributor to leading legal and tax seminars and forums, including those organised by the Asociación para el Progreso de la Dirección (APD) and AFI Escuela de Finanzas Aplicadas.

“The arrival of Héctor and his team provides a decisive boost to our tax practice at a key moment of growth. His experience in tax planning and in advising family-owned businesses and private wealth clients fits perfectly with the evolution of our client base. In addition, this hire is aligned with EJASO’s national and international projection in transactional work and corporate reorganisations,” firm management noted.
