Gibson Dunn recruits Reka Palla
Gibson Dunn has recruited Reka Palla as of counsel as the first addition to the team being assembled in Spain under Armando Albarrán, ahead of the firm’s planned Madrid office opening.
Palla joins from A&O Shearman, where she was a senior associate in corporate, M&A and private equity, and she previously worked for around eight years at Freshfields, where she was part of Albarrán’s team.
Her practice focuses on M&A, including complex cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions. She has also advised on corporate governance and capital markets matters, including IPOs and capital increases, and has worked with multinationals, private equity funds and family-owned businesses.
Gibson Dunn announced in January (here the news) that Albarrán would join the firm ahead of the opening of its Madrid office, which is expected to focus on areas including private equity, infrastructure and the healthcare sector. The firm’s chair and managing partner Barbara Becker has described Madrid as a key European hub for private equity and cross-border M&A.
