PLMJ advises Biorce in €44 million funding round
PLMJ advised Biorce in a €44 million funding round. Biorce is a Barcelona-based medtech startup specializing in clinical trials, with an AI-powered platform and its flagship model, Jarvis. The investment will fund Biorce’s international expansion: by the end of the year, the start-up plans to grow its team by up to 250 people and to open a new office in Barcelona.
According to PLMJ, this would be the largest Series A round for an Iberian health tech start-up and was led by DST Global, with participation from Norrsken, YZR, Mustard Seed Maze (MSM), and several prominent angel investors.
On PLMJ’s side, the deal was led by Alexander Ehlert (pictured), partner in the Corporate M&A area, with the support of lawyers from the same practice, Leonor Melo Bento, Beatriz Veiga Santos, and Alice Correia Pires.
