Abreu advises Coralcompass on the acquisition of Sintrense

Abreu Advogados has advised Coralcompass on the acquisition of a 75% stake in the share capital of Sport União Sintrense Futebol SAD. The transaction forms part of a broader process to strengthen and reorganise the club’s shareholder structure, enabling the entry of a new majority investor and requiring specialised legal support in a sector subject to a specific and particularly demanding regulatory framework.

The transaction marks the entry of a new majority investor into the sports company and is aimed at reinforcing its shareholder base and consolidating the sporting and organisational project associated with the club. It involved multiple parties and required the coordination of a significant number of legal and formal steps within the regulatory framework applicable to the sports sector.

The transaction was led by partner Fernando Veiga Gomes (pictured), with the involvement of Hugo Teixeira, Inês Elói and Francisco Côrte Real.
