Morais Leitão expands network in Cape Verde

Morais Leitão Legal Circle has expanded its network with a new partnership in Cape Verde, joining forces with CMA – Carla Monteiro & Associados. This move aims to strengthen the group’s legal advisory capabilities for investment projects in the real estate and tourism sectors, particularly on the islands of Sal and Boa Vista. This includes support in transactions, licensing, regulatory matters and contracting, ensuring legally sound solutions that are fully aligned with the local legal and regulatory framework.

According to Morais Leitão, Sal and Boa Vista have been increasingly consolidating their position as key hubs for tourism and real estate development in Cape Verde. “The new partnership will complement the legal advice already provided by VPQ Advogados, with a particular focus on the island of Santiago”, states the law firm.

Pedro Cruz Gonçalves (picured), senior lawyer, will act as Morais Leitão’s liaison officer under this partnership, overseeing local matters.
