Pérez-Llorca advises Silverway Asset Management on Spanish launch
Pérez-Llorca has advised on the authorisation and establishment in Madrid of Silverway Asset Management, the asset management company owned by Pedro Escudero. The Spanish securities regulator, the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), has registered the firm as a management company for collective investment undertakings.
Silverway Asset Management will focus on the management and distribution of open-ended investment funds for both retail and institutional investors. The firm plans to launch a value-oriented investment fund with an emphasis on quality and growth. According to the firm, Silverway will apply the same investment approach that Escudero has followed through his US-based fund, which has delivered strong annualised returns over an extended period and attracted a predominantly institutional investor base. The fund will have a minimum investment of €500. Silverway Asset Management will be based in central Madrid, on Montalbán Street.
The Pérez-Llorca team advising on the transaction comprised Josefina García Pedroviejo, financial services partner, Diego Alcalde and Alfonso Buhigas, financial services lawyers, all pictured from left to right.
