Abreu advises Rekeep World on stake buy in Euromex
Abreu Advogados has advised Rekeep World on the acquisition of a 60% majority stake in Euromex, a Portuguese company specialising in facility services, with a particular focus on the healthcare sector, and employing approximately 3,000 people.
The transaction enables Rekeep World, an Italian group in integrated facility management, to enter the Portuguese market, while the previous shareholder retains a 40% stake in the company and ensures the continuity of the existing management team.
Abreu Advogados’ legal advice covered all stages of the transaction, including support with legal due diligence, structuring and negotiation of the deal, drafting and negotiating preliminary agreements, the share purchase agreement, the shareholders’ agreement, and all ancillary documentation.
The deal was led by Rita Albuquerque (pictured), counsel in Abreu Advogados’ corporate and M&A team, with assistance from Francisco Estácio and Matilde Carvalho e Cortinhal, senior associate and associate in the same team. The transaction also benefited from the support of a multidisciplinary legal team, including Sofia Silva e Sousa, Susana A. Duarte and Sara Ferraz Mendonça, who provided advice on labour, tax and real estate matters, respectively.
