GA_P hires Rafael Murillo as litigation and arbitration coordinator
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has incorporated Rafael Murillo, formerly of Freshfields, as coordinator of its litigation and arbitration practice.
Rafael Murillo
Murillo has more than 30 years of experience in managing commercial disputes, with a particular focus on contractual conflicts, financial litigation, product liability and arbitration. He is also an expert in regulatory matters, having participated in highly significant administrative and contentious proceedings throughout his career.
He regularly advises large financial institutions and investment banks on both contentious and non-contentious matters, as well as major national and international companies in sectors such as infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, banking, telecommunications and energy.
The new coordinator came from Freshfields, where he was a partner and head of the litigation and arbitration practice in Spain. He is also considered one of the most reputable litigation professionals in Spain and is recognised by the leading international directories, which highlight his role in multi-jurisdictional proceedings and high-profile international arbitrations.
This is Gómez-Acebo & Pombo’s second signing from Freshfields, which a few months ago hired Fernando Soto, head of the real estate practice.
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo’s Litigation and Arbitration team has seven partners and more than 40 associates spread across its offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao.
