Pavia e Ansaldo appoints Javier de Vicente as partner

Pavia e Ansaldo, a law firm led in Spain by Meritxell Roca Ortega —partner and head of the Barcelona and Madrid offices, as well as the Spanish Desk— has announced the appointment of Javier de Vicente as a new partner based in Madrid to strengthen its position in the Spanish market, ten years after opening its first office in Barcelona.

De Vicente joined the firm in 2016, coinciding with the launch of Pavia e Ansaldo’s direct presence in the Spanish market, and has developed his entire professional career within the firm. Over the past decade, he has built solid experience advising Italian and international companies and investment funds. His practice is strongly transactional, with a particular focus on cross-border M&A transactions, especially between Spain and Italy, as well as on international corporate and real estate matters.

Born in Águilas (Murcia) in 1992 and resident in Madrid, Javier de Vicente is admitted to the Madrid and Milan Bar Associations. He holds law degrees in both Spain and Italy, from the University of Murcia and Roma Tre University respectively, and later completed a Master in Lawyering at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. He is fluent in Spanish, Italian and English and is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
