Carlos González, head of Security and Data Protection Officer at Hallon

Hallon has announced the appointment of Carlos González as head of Security and Data Protection Officer (DPO) for the company, as part of its strategy to strengthen the defence, supervision and control of its customers’ personal data protection.

“This appointment reflects Hallon’s desire to establish a solid and specialised internal structure that ensures strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and allows for active supervision of the processing of personal data carried out in the course of its activities, as well as contractual relationships with third parties,” the firm explained.

As part of his duties, González has been formally registered as Data Protection Officer with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), channelling communications and consultations with the supervisory authority from this position and carrying out analysis, evaluation and monitoring of the risks associated with data protection and information security.

The new head of security has a degree in Law and a degree in Political Science and Administration from the University of Salamanca, and a Master’s degree in Advanced Studies in Political Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid. After a brief professional experience in the field of advertising, he joined Hallon in 2016, where he has developed his career over the last ten years. He currently holds the position of Project Manager, a role he has held for more than four and a half years.
