María Borén, new partner at Forvis Mazars
Forvis Mazars in Spain, a firm led by Santiago Casadejús, has appointed María Borén as a new partner in the legal department in Barcelona, one of a total of seven new additions to the partnership in different areas, three international and four local.
With these appointments, the total number of partners at Forvis Mazars in Spain rises to 62, including international and local partners, with a total of 900 professionals in the eight offices in which it operates in our country.
María Borén
The appointment of Borén, partner in the Legal department in Barcelona, is part of the firm’s local appointments. She began her professional career at the firm in 2010 in the Commercial area of Forvis Mazars. She has extensive experience in commercial advice, restructuring operations and legal due diligence processes for companies, both international and national, as well as business groups. María has a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona.

The appointment of María Borén as a partner in the Legal department is part of a series of seven new additions to the Forvis Mazars partnership in Spain, of which three are international partners and four are local partners. Internationally, the firm has promoted Juan Berral and Carlos Palomino to partners in Audit, as well as César del Portillo to partner in charge of Transfer Pricing. In addition to these, there are four new local partners, including María Borén, Luis Hernández (IT Audit), Beatriz Montañés (Outsourcing) and Astrid Sánchez (Tax), thus strengthening the firm’s management team in its main service lines.
Furthermore, the firm has promoted 23 new managers and supervisors across all its service lines.
