Andersen integrates RM Abogados Laboralistas in Málaga
Andersen has integrated RM Abogados Laboralistas, with the goal of strengthening its position in labour advisory services in Málaga. The integration brings on board a team of nine professionals, including Salvador Ruiz Menacho, founding partner of RM, who joins Andersen as a labour partner and head of the practice in Andalusia. As a result of this transaction, Andersen’s Málaga office now reaches 70 professionals, 16 of whom form the labour department, and achieves consolidated revenues of €7 million.
RM Abogados Laboralistas has a team with experience in providing labour and social security advice to companies. Its work covers both preventive and contentious advice, including the defence of corporate liability and governing bodies in cases arising from workplace accidents, participation in collective bargaining processes, the implementation of internal and external flexibility measures, as well as support in restructurings and corporate transactions from a labour perspective. Its client base includes medium-sized and large companies across different sectors, as well as senior executives, public administration and public companies.
José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen Iberia, notes that Andersen “maintain a firm commitment to continued, well-considered growth in Málaga, incorporating talent and capabilities that allow us to support the ongoing development and transformation of the region’s business fabric.” According to José Vicente Morote, “the solid track record of RM Abogados Laboralistas allows us to strengthen our labour advisory capabilities and to respond with quality and excellence to companies’ growing demand in an increasingly complex labour environment.”
Salvador Ruiz Menacho holds a law degree from the University of Málaga and is a university expert in collective bargaining, mediation and labour dispute resolution from the Faculty of Law of Huelva and the Andalusian Council for Labour Relations, as well as in labour negotiation from the Instituto de Empresa. He completed his training with courses on labour reforms at the Judicial School and with the Practical Collective Bargaining programme on European Union matters at the College of Europe. He is an honorary lecturer in labour law at the University of Málaga.
José Miguel Soriano, partner at Andersen and head of its Málaga office, explains that “the integration of RM Abogados Laboralistas strengthens Andersen’s ability to offer increasingly comprehensive and tailored solutions to companies in Andalusia. With this integration, Andersen Málaga has highly specialised teams across all areas of business law.”
Finally, Salvador Ruiz Menacho, new partner at Andersen, underlines that “this integration allows us to combine our 35 years of experience in labour law with Andersen’s multidisciplinary approach, strengthening our ability to support companies in their growth and development.”
Andersen’s Málaga office begins 2026 with this integration, the fifth since its arrival in Málaga in January 2023, following those of the tax boutique Affasa; the criminal law boutique Apalategui Abogados; the firm specialising in commercial and corporate law Salvia Abogados; and the multidisciplinary firm MTA Legal, in addition to individual hires of highly regarded professionals specialised in the various practice areas.
