Cuatrecasas advises Vizta on €200M residential project
Cuatrecasas in Portugal has advised Vizta on the acquisition of a land development project covering 42,000 square metres, to be used exclusively for residential construction, in Lisbon. The project represents a total investment of around €200 million in a fast-growing area of the city, near the Cristo Rei gardens, between Olivais, Portela and Parque das Nações.
The development comprises four plots, totalling 460 apartments, with layouts ranging from one- to four-bedroom units. It also includes the creation of a public garden of approximately 9,000 square metres, where more than 400 new trees and around 8,000 shrubs will be planted. In addition to residential and green spaces, 241 public parking spaces will be created.
Construction will be carried out in three phases. The first phase is expected to be launched on the market in the third quarter of 2026, with a focus on young families. Vizta is one of the companies within the Orion Capital Managers Group, a European private equity firm focused on the real estate market. It has been active in Portugal for seven years.
The transaction was handled by a multidisciplinary Cuatrecasas team of more than 20 lawyers, coordinated by Sara Quaresma (pictured), partner from the real estate and urban planning practice. The team also included Gonçalo Nogueira, Paulo Esteves Rosa and Miguel Mesuras, from the same practice area; Manuel Requicha Ferreira and Ana Guedes Teixeira, from banking & finance and capital markets; and Gonçalo Bastos Lopes, from tax.
