Antas da Cunha Ecija advises on Hi-pay merger
Antas da Cunha Ecija has advised on the cross-border merger of Hi-pay Portugal Unipessoal into Hipay France, in the context of which all assets and liabilities of the first one were transferred to the French branch in Portugal, which is now called “Hipay branch in Portugal.” In this transaction, Antas da Cunha Ecija worked in collaboration with the French law firm BCTG Avocats.
Hipay is a French company operating in the financial technology and services sector. The company manages an online payments platform, available in several countries, including Portugal.
The operation aimed to simplify the group’s organizational structure, increase operational efficiency and profitability, and strengthen the integration of activities in Portugal. All operations and services previously provided by Hi-pay Portugal will now be ensured by the new branch, guaranteeing full continuity while reinforcing financial and operational strength, states the law firm.
