Rafael Vallet, new corporate partner at Andersen

Andersen keeps pushing forward. According to exclusive information obtained by Iberian Lawyer and confirmed by the firm itself, Rafael Vallet is joining as a partner in the commercial practice at the Barcelona office, coming from Ceca Magán. This addition is in addition to the previously announced additions in Catalonia of Xavier Miravalls, Ana Úbeda and their respective teams to that department.

José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen Iberia, states that “Rafael Vallet’s track record is fully in line with the level of excellence and specialisation that characterises our firm, as well as being a significant reinforcement for our commercial practice in Barcelona”. He adds that “his in-depth knowledge of the law and his extensive experience in advising companies and entities from different sectors will bring significant added value to our clients”.

With more than 25 years of experience, Vallet has solid expertise in advising, mainly in private law, foundations, associations, non-governmental organisations and non-profit entities. He also has proven experience and recognition in commercial advice to companies in the technology and digital sector.

He holds a law degree from the UNED and completed his training with, among others, a Master’s Degree in Tax Advice and Management from ESADE and a General Management Programme (PDG) from IESE. The new Andersen partner combines his professional work with his work in certain institutions, such as the secretariat of the DKV Integralia Foundation, the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, and his participation in Barcelona Health Hub, Insurtech Community Hub and Digital Health Hub, among others.

Juan Ignacio Alonso, partner and director of Andersen in Barcelona, emphasises that ‘the arrival of Rafael Vallet and his team at our firm is excellent news for our office. Their experience and their cross-disciplinary vision of civil and commercial law will further strengthen our advisory capacity in the Catalan market.’
