Zadal advises on the expansion of Carl’s Jr. in Barcelona
Zadal has advised Mexican firm Fudlicious on the agreement reached with Spanish group Avanza Food, master franchisee of Carl’s Jr. in Spain, for the opening of ten new restaurants of the Californian brand in Barcelona over the next five years.
With this multi-franchise agreement, Fudlicious continues its international expansion process. For its part, Avanza Food, a group owned by the Abac Solutions fund, thus reinforces its growth plan for Carl’s Jr. in Spain, where the chain already operates 45 restaurants since its arrival in 2017.
The firm has participated in this agreement by providing commercial and tax advice. The team was led by M&A partner Victoria Vilar, with associates Oihane Casado and Nicolás Rodríguez.
