Clara Cerdán, new general counsel and secretary of the board of García Carrión
J. García Carrión, the Spanish food and beverage group, has appointed Clara Cerdán as its new general counsel and secretary of the board of directors, as Iberian Lawyer can exclusively reveal.

Cerdán joins from Solarig Global Services, where she has held the position of Director of Legal Affairs since 2023. In her new role at García Carrión, she will lead the group’s legal department and take on the role of secretary to the board, as well as coordinating the areas of corporate governance, regulatory compliance and internal legal advice, together with a team of senior advisors.
Prior to her time at Solarig, Cerdán developed extensive experience in the industrial and infrastructure sector. Between 2014 and 2022, she was General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Directors at Ferroglobe, and previously held positions at Sacyr Vallehermoso, where she was head of the real estate legal department and, before that, head of International Affairs, where she led projects such as the expansion of the Panama Canal.
In addition to her corporate career, Clara Cerdán is co-founder and vice-president of the Women in a Legal World (WLW) association, and also co-founder of the Más Cultura del Acuerdo (MCA) association, together with Marlen Estévez Sanz (president), Ana Martínez Eguídanos (secretary) and Pilar Cuesta de Loño (member).
