Dave Hart, new president of ACC Europe

ACC Europe has appointed Dave Hart as the new chair of ACC Europe (Association of Corporate Counsel), replacing Maria Rocha Barros.

A member of the ACC Europe board for more than six years, Hart has contributed to the growth of the association, the management of the pandemic period and the definition of the long-term strategy ‘Shift2030’. He is currently Director of Legal Affairs for Europe and Latin America at Ericsson, following a career in legal leadership positions at BT, Barclays and Morgan Stanley. He has also worked as a freelancer, notably for Allen & Overy.

In his inaugural message, Hart expressed his ‘great honour’ at the appointment. He went on to say: “It is a privilege to follow in the footsteps of Maria Rocha Barros, whose energy, dedication and vision have left such a positive mark on our community. I have seen first-hand how our members support, inspire and learn from each other: that spirit of collaboration is what makes ACC Europe so special. I look forward to working with our leadership team to continue building connections, sharing ideas and driving Shift2030, with the aim of remaining the indispensable peer-to-peer community for corporate lawyers across Europe.”
