BDO Abogados appoints three new partners

BDO Abogados has appointed Álvaro Gómez Elvira as a new partner in the Tax department; and Laura Subiranas and Antonio José Pérez Bravo as new partners in Outsourcing. With these additions, the firm now has 23 partners and 693 professionals in Spain.

Álvaro Gómez-Elvira

Gómez-Elvira has been part of the Tax Department at BDO Abogados since 2014 and currently heads the VAT, Indirect Tax, Customs and Tax Compliance Department.

He has a degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a Master’s degree in Taxation and International Taxation from ICADE. He also holds a specialised diploma in EU Customs Law and is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.

He is also a lecturer on the Advanced Specialisation Course in VAT at the School of Legal Practice of the Complutense University of Madrid and a collaborating lecturer at the CEF in the field of indirect taxation.

Laura Subiranas

Subiranas joined BDO Abogados in 2017 and has been a director in the Outsourcing department since 2018, leading Tax Compliance, Accounting and Reporting outsourcing projects in the Barcelona office. She holds a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona and a degree in Institutional Relations from the Miguel Hernández University. She has a Master’s degree in Planning and Legal Advice in Financial and Tax Law from the International University of Catalonia.

She is also a member of the Association of Economists of Catalonia and has been an Accredited Accounting Expert since 2022 by the General Council of Economists.

Antonio José Pérez Bravo

Finally, Antonio José Pérez Bravo has 20 years of experience leading multiple accounting and administrative process outsourcing projects. He joined BDO Abogados in 2015, after working at Deloitte’s International Desk in Madrid.

He holds a degree in Business Studies from the Complutense University of Madrid and has specialised business training in Business Administration and Management from ThePower Business School.

He is also a specialist in financial reporting and its conversion to IFRS and US GAAP.
