Ethikos advises SI Tax-Free on digital platform launch
Ethikos Lawyers Portugal has advised SI Tax-Free on the launch of an innovative digital platform for VAT refunds to tourists. This approach allowed SI Tax-Free to launch the platform on a solid legal foundation, ensuring full regulatory and tax compliance, and providing the necessary security in such a specialized area.
The team from Lisbon has provided legal support for the project, covering every stage — from the legal and tax framework of SI Tax-Free’s operations to the implementation phase, including company incorporation, communications, and tax obligations before the Portuguese Tax Authority, states the law firm on its social media.
The project team was led by partner Luís Pedro Fernandes (pictured) and also included João Ascenso, managing partner, and Fernando Bergantino, senior associate.
