CMS advises Atlas Copco on the acquisition of Haizea
CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has advised Atlas Copco on the acquisition of Talleres Haizea, a supplier of services and spare parts for high-pressure piston compressors.
This company, based in the Basque Country, which operates in Portugal and Latin America as well as in Spain, focuses on servicing, selling spare parts, and optimizing energy efficiency in this specialised machinery.
This is the second transaction in which CMS has advised Atlas Copco this year, and it is part of Atlas Copco’s ongoing expansion and strengthening plan. The advice provided by the firm has focused on the legal due diligence process; the drafting and negotiation of the main contracts and ancillary documents for the transaction; and assistance with the signing and closing.
The transaction was led by Corporate/M&A partner Ignacio Cerrato, together with senior associate Macarena Méndez and lawyer Paula Zafra from the same area; Litigation & Arbitration partner Luis Vidal; and Tax partner Ricardo Héctor.
