PRA strengthens its public law practice in Madeira
PRA – Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados has announced the integration of Zita Sousa as a new senior associate in its Madeira office, enhancing its practice in administrative law and public procurement. With more than 13 years of legal experience, Zita Sousa joins from Quintas, Jardim Fernandes & Associados, where she had practised since 2011, with focus on administrative and tax litigation, public procurement, as well as complementary areas such as civil, labour, insolvency, intellectual property, and dispute mediation.
She has also served as a member of the Madeira Regional Council of the Portuguese Bar Association, where she was responsible for Access to Justice, Public Procurement, Human Resources, Communication, and Observatories. Throughout her career, Sousa has advised public and private entities, both national and international, in the preparation and monitoring of public procurement procedures, drafting of legal opinions, pre-contractual litigation, and representation in administrative and tax proceedings.
Daniel Torres Gonçalves, head of PRA’s Madeira office, stressed that this addition is aligned with the firm’s consolidation strategy in the Autonomous Region: “We remain focused on providing excellent service to our clients and, to that end, we need outstanding professionals who share PRA’s values. Zita Sousa’s experience, deeply connected to the Madeira market, is an asset to strengthening our presence in the region.”
