KPMG advises Smalticeram Group on the acquisition of Vernís
KPMG Abogados has advised Smalticeram Group on the acquisition of Vernís, a company with more than 50 years of experience that is specialised in enamels, colours and ceramic frits.
This merger is in line with its objective of strengthening customer service, expanding and completing its product portfolio, and incorporating talent with experience in the ceramic sector.
With this operation, Smalticeram has incorporated 245 professionals, strengthening its presence in Spain and in the main international markets. On the other hand, Onda (Castellón) is consolidating its position as a hub for innovation and industrial employment.
In the words of the president of Smalticeram Spain, Giuseppe Ovi, ‘The merger with Vernís reinforces our value proposition, increasing technical, human and productive capacities that bring us even closer to our customers.’
The firm has advised Smalticeram throughout the acquisition process (preliminary negotiations, closing and due diligence), in a transaction led by Andrés Íñigo and involving Ramón Mouriño, Vanessa Aucejo, Alicia Cervera and Joel Ayza.
