Cristina González Beilfuss, new tax counsel at Cuatrecasas

Cuatrecasas strengthens its Family & Estates specialist group, part of the Tax practice, with the appointment of Cristina González Beilfuss, professor of Private International Law at the University of Barcelona, as a tax counsel.

González Beilfuss is a professor of Private International Law at the University of Barcelona and has had a distinguished academic and professional career, with more than 150 publications in her field of expertise. She has more than three decades of experience combining an academic career with extensive institutional experience: she has been Spain’s delegate to the Hague Conference on Private International Law, a member of expert groups on filiation and family agreements in the European Union and the Hague Conference, and a trainer of judges in judicial centres throughout Europe. She is also an elected member of the Catalan Academy of Legislation and Jurisprudence and a corresponding member of the Spanish Academy of Legislation and Jurisprudence, among other prestigious institutions.

With a degree and doctorate in law from the University of Barcelona and a diploma in international law from The Hague Academy, Cristina González Beilfuss has been a visiting professor at leading universities, such as Paris I-Panthéon Sorbonne, and has actively participated in the development of international regulations and recommendations on family law.

A boost in inheritance and estate planning

The firm has reported that the addition of Cristina González Beilfuss to the Family & Estates team represents a decisive boost to the continued development of innovative and personalised solutions in inheritance and estate planning.
