Telles appoints four new partners

Telles has announced the appointment of four new partners: Guilherme Seabra Galante, José Pedroso de Melo, Nuno Marques and Pedro Matias Pereira. The new partners will work in key areas such as corporate, M&A and private equity, tax, and, public and urban planning. This brings the firm’s total number of partners to 27 out of a total of 150 lawyers.

Guilherme Seabra Galante and Nuno Marques will be working in the corporate, M&A and private Equity area. Guilherme Seabra Galante has 15 years of professional experience in privatisations, corporate reorganisations, private equity and commercial contracts. He has also provided regular legal advice to listed companies and large groups, particularly in the tourism and transport sectors.

Nuno Marques has around 19 years of professional experience and has developed expertise in privatisations, corporate reorganisations, private equity and commercial contracts. He has been involved in national and cross-border transactions in various industry sectors, including energy, infrastructure and transport.

José Pedroso de Melo has become a partner in the tax department. He is a specialist in tax law, a title conferred by the Portuguese Bar Association, and has 29 years of professional experience. He has experience in tax litigation, as well as providing legal and tax advice to Portuguese and multinational business groups, particularly in the banking, insurance, and real estate sectors, and in corporate restructuring transactions.

Pedro Matias Pereira specialises in public and urban planning. With 18 years of professional experience, he is dedicated to the formation and execution of public contracts and administrative litigation and arbitration, as well as advising public and private entities. He has taught at the Faculty of Law at the University of Coimbra and at other institutions on specialised courses. He is currently completing his PhD in Public Law. He is the author of a monograph and several scientific articles.
