Proença de Carvalho advises Brainr on €11M seed round

Brainr, a Portuguese startup that develops production management software for the food industry, has closed an investment round of up to €11 million, led by the venture capital fund C2 Capital Partners. Proença de Carvalho has advised the startup in this transaction, which is considered one of the largest seed rounds ever carried out in Portugal, according to the law firm.

Built on cloud technology, Brainr integrates artificial intelligence to offer plug-and-play integrations with leading equipment manufacturers, and provides more than 100 features to the food industry. Launched at the end of 2023, its software currently manages more than 25% of all meat production in Portugal.

The legal team was led by partner André Matias de Almeida (pictured) and coordinated by associate Miguel Almeida Simões, with the participation of lawyers Igor Amarii, Mariana Castro Pereira and Bruno Matias.
