Francisco da Cunha Matos joins PRA as professional partner

Francisco da Cunha Matos is the new professional partner at PRA – Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados, the law firm announces. He joins from PLMJ, where he worked for the past 12 years and served as a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution Department. With experience in complex litigation, insolvency, and corporate restructuring, his appointment strengthens PRA’s growth strategy, the firm adds.

Matos holds a law degree and a master’s degree in law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, where he is currently pursuing a PhD in Legal and Business Sciences. He has also been a visiting lecturer at international universities, including the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, the University of Chicago, and the University of Hamburg. Since 2020, he has served as a guest lecturer in postgraduate courses on Insolvency Law and Corporate Recovery, organized by the Centre for Private Law Research at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
