Thomás de Carranza advises Chef Fruit on its equality plan

Thomás de Carranza Abogados has advised Chef Fruit, one of the leading fruit and vegetable distributors in the Community of Madrid, particularly in the Horeca channel, on the development of its equality plan.

Since 2022, equality plans have been mandatory for all companies with 50 or more employees, in accordance with Royal Decree 902/2020 on Equal Pay for Women and Men, which celebrates its fourth anniversary this year.

The regulation provided a decisive boost to the implementation of equality policies in the Spanish business sector by establishing specific measures to correct structural inequalities between men and women.

With extensive experience in the labor field, the firm has participated in the development of similar plans, including the most recent one for the Ritz Hotel in Madrid.

The project was led by María Gomes Sousa, director of the firm’s Labor Department.
