PLMJ appoints its first two non-legal partners

PLMJ has promoted its first two non-legal partners. Daniela Amaral, head of strategy & business development since 2016, and Alexandra Almeida Ferreira, head of branding and communication since 2020, are the newest partners at PLMJ since January, in a move that marks the firm’s transition to a multidisciplinary partnership.

The new partners

With 20 years of experience in business development, marketing, research, M&A, private equity, corporate culture, and sustainability, Daniela Amaral served as research lead and head of marketing and business development at Freshfields before joining PLMJ. She has also held similar roles at S&P Capital IQ, Mexx, and others. Her professional background also spans sectors such as retail, advertising, and internet/mobile.

Alexandra Almeida Ferreira is a journalist by training, specializing in external and internal communication, brand content, institutional communication, PR, and business development. She worked for 15 years as a journalist covering economy, markets, and politics.
