Montero Aramburu & Gómez-Villares Atencia appoints two new equity partners

Montero Aramburu & Gómez-Villares Atencia has appointed Agustín León and José Minero as new equity partners in the Public and M&A areas, respectively. Both appointments were approved at the last general partners’ meeting and are part of the firm’s national growth strategy.

Leonardo Neri and Javier Valdecantos, managing partners of the firm, highlight the extensive experience and long-term vision of the new partners, whose appointments ‘reflect recognition of their excellent personal track records and firm commitment to promoting colleagues who have developed their professional careers at our firm.’

Agustín León

Agustín León joined the Public Department in Seville in 2002. He is recognised for his specialisation in urban planning, water law, aid and subsidies, as well as litigation in public procurement matters.

He has a degree in Law from the University of Seville. As well as a Master’s degree in Territorial and Urban Policy from the Carlos III University of Madrid.

José Minero

José Minero joined the Tenerife office in 2012 to develop the litigation and M&A department on the island. From 2020, he will take on the development of the M&A practice at the Las Palmas office.

He holds a law degree from the University of Huelva and a Master’s degree in Business Legal Advice from the Instituto de Estudios Cajasol. Also, he holds an Executive Master’s degree in Business Law from the Centro de Estudios Garrigues in collaboration with Harvard Law School.
