Company Legal advises Cuatroochenta on the acquisition of MP Services
Company Legal has provided legal advice to Cuatroochenta on the acquisition of 100% of MP Services, a Barcelona-based company specialised in the detection and prevention of fraud in digital payments. With this operation, Cuatroochenta strengthens its position in the cybersecurity sector and expands its portfolio with solutions aimed at banking transactions and e-commerce.
The transaction, reported to BME Growth, is part of the inorganic growth strategy of Cuatroochenta, a technology holding company with an international presence and a focus on advanced software solutions.
MP Services, led by its founders Marc Nieto (CEO) and Marcelo Araujo (COO), has a team specialised in criminology applied to the digital environment. The company analyses millions of online transactions every year, enabling it to detect patterns of behaviour associated with fraud and develop effective predictive models. Its client portfolio includes airlines and e-commerce platforms in sectors such as leisure, fashion and sport.
The incorporation of MP Services will generate synergies with Sofistic, Cuatroochenta’s cybersecurity unit, and strengthen its prevention capabilities in the face of the growing impact of online fraud, which, according to Juniper Research, could reach $91 billion annually by 2028.
The transaction was led by Carlos Ochoa, who worked alongside Elena Company, both members of the Company Legal team.
