EY closes its 2025 fiscal year with 49 new partners

EY has consolidated its commitment to internal talent and sustained growth by promoting 33 new partners in Spain during the fiscal year ending 30 June (FY25). Of these, 12 have become partners in the firm. These promotions, which span all service lines, reflect a clear commitment to professional development from within the organisation. EY Abogados had the highest number of promotions, with 13 professionals, followed by Assurance (8), Consulting (7) and EY-Parthenon (5).

In addition to this internal momentum, 16 new partners from other firms and companies have joined the firm, eight of whom are equity partners. Once again, EY Abogados leads the way in external recruitment, with five new hires, followed by Consulting and Assurance, with four each, and EY-Parthenon, with three.

Among the new partners who have achieved partnership status are Cristina Bosch, Iñigo Diarte, Camino Gutiérrez and Eva Merino in Assurance; Paolo Ancora, Joaquín Castillón and Álvaro León in Consulting; Jacobo Bertrán in EY-Parthenon; and Leire Arlabán, Isabel Hidalgo, Manuel Moreno and Lara Vettorazzi in EY Abogados.

In addition to these, there are non-equity partners who have been promoted, including Aitziber García, Daniel Molina, Joaquín Velasco and Juan Bolado in Assurance; Iván Azofra, Manuel Bombín, Mario Rodríguez and Ángel López García in Consulting; Alfonso Núñez, Luis Barrero, Carlos Jiménez and Félix Villaverde in EY-Parthenon; as well as Alejandra Orellana, Alberto Ameneiro, David de Falguera, Daniel López, Enrique Padilla, Carlos Pont, Guillermo Ruiz, Pablo Ortega and Héctor Hermosillo in EY Abogados.

The firm also ended the year with 16 new external hires, including Diego Moral Crespo and Diego González de Cecilia in Consulting; Rafael Medina Pinazo, Silvia Bauzá Hernández and Natalia Jaquotot Garre in EY Abogados; Pelayo Novoa Miñambres in EY-Parthenon; and Carmen Mencía Bastanchury and Diego Perul Tejero in Assurance.

Sustained growth

This move is in line with the EY Revolution FY25–FY27 strategic plan, which seeks to strengthen talent management and innovation within the firm. According to Federico Linares, president of EY in Spain, ‘these figures reflect a firm with a clear direction, cohesion and a focus on the future.’ For his part, José Luis Risco, partner in charge of Talent, adds that ‘the firm is able to attract and retain the best talent in the market because we offer an ambitious professional project with purpose and an increasingly recognised culture of its own, which will be reflected even more so with our EY Campuso project’.

During the last financial year, EY remained the second Big 4 firm in Spain in terms of turnover, reaching €847.9 million, 12.2% more than the previous year. The firm has also strengthened its sectoral organisational model, focusing on multidisciplinary teams that enable it to offer integrated solutions in key sectors such as energy, healthcare, banking and technology.
