Andersen advises Merkel Capital on the purchase of two plots of land in Valencia

Andersen has advised Merkel Capital, a Navarre-based developer specialising in PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation), on the acquisition of two building plots measuring 1,470 and 6,780 square metres in Valencia. The developer will build a university residence with 271 rooms for the 2027-2028 academic year.

Merkel Capital is dedicated to the investment, construction and management of two types of assets: land or buildings to be refurbished for PBSA located in city centres near university campuses; and flex living land or buildings also located in urban centres and well-connected surrounding areas.

The developer has a total of 4,000 beds, including those already operational in Barcelona, Granada and Pamplona, and those planned in Seville, Madrid, Malaga and Valencia.

The advice on the transaction was led by Carlos Morales, partner in the Urban Planning Department, and Pablo López, senior associate.
