Gestiona-t expands into Portugal with new Lisbon office
Gestiona-t, a provider of “adaptive corporate services” in Spain, has announced its expansion into Portugal as part of its international growth plan. “Our entry into the Portuguese market aligns with our medium and long-term strategy to reinforce our presence in the Iberian Peninsula and build bridges with Latin America”, states the company.
Founded in Madrid in 2013, Gestiona-t began as a provider of alternative legal services (ALSPs). After more than a decade, the company has taken a step further by redefining its value proposition and creating a new category: adaptive corporate services. In essence, Gestiona-t offers integrated solutions for companies, law firms, investors, and individuals, combining technology, expert advice, and document management to support legal, tax, and administrative operations.
According to the company, this transformation is based on the perception that “companies are no longer only looking for more efficient legal solutions, but for integrated, dynamic corporate services aligned with their strategic goals”. In this new approach, the legal component is combined with technological, operational, and management capabilities to deliver integrated solutions.
Move to Portugal
The move into Portugal is driven by two factors: first, the evolution of the company’s client portfolio—many of the clients are expanding into the Portuguese market or already operate transnationally. And second, the country’s strategic appeal as a recipient of foreign investment in Europe. “Part of our team in Spain was already supporting operations in Portugal”, the company adds.
The new office is headed by Jesús Luis Bescos Sinde, an economist with experience in academia and business consultancy who has worked in both Spain and Portugal. Accordingly, the model implemented in Portugal will replicate the one used in Spain, with shared methodologies, processes, and standards—adapted to local needs.
“Our arrival in Portugal is a natural evolution for our model. It’s not just about opening a new office, but about solidifying a different way of understanding corporate services in an international context”, says Francisco Gómez Fructuoso, CEO of Gestiona-t.
Currently, Gestiona-t has a team of over 100 professionals and a client base of more than 2,000. Some of the company’s clients in Portugal include law firms, family offices, and investment funds requiring stable support for cross-border operations. In this regard, Gestiona-t emphasizes: “We do not compete with traditional law firms—we act as a complementary support, allowing them to focus on their core legal work while delegating administrative, tax, or compliance functions.”
