Andersen appoints Álvaro Gutiérrez Martín as tax partner

Andersen has announced the appointment of Álvaro Gutiérrez Martín (pictured centre) as a new partner in the Tax department at its Málaga office, which is led by fellow partner José Miguel Soriano (pictured left).

With over 20 years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and corporations, Gutiérrez Martín specializes in the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate restructurings, as well as business internationalization, foreign investment processes in Spain, wealth planning, and tax procedures. Previously, he worked as Director of the tax department at EY Abogados, in the Malaga office.

Gutiérrez Martín holds a Law degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a Master’s in Legal Advisory for Companies from IE, and has completed postgraduate studies in management development, taxation, and finance. He also contributes to academia, teaching in the Tax Advisory Master’s program at ESESA-IMF.

This strategic hire reinforces Andersen’s commitment to expanding its capabilities in Southern Spain and strengthening its tax advisory services in complex national and international operations.
