Baker McKenzie celebrates its 60th anniversary in Spain
International law firm Baker McKenzie marked its 60th anniversary in Spain with a commemorative institutional event held at its Madrid office. The celebration brought together a broad representation of clients, strategic partners, and prominent figures from Spain’s legal and business sectors.
The evening featured the distinguished presence of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, President of the Community of Madrid, who delivered remarks recognizing the firm’s historical significance and contributions. President Díaz Ayuso highlighted Baker McKenzie’s pioneering role in the Spanish legal sector since its arrival in 1965, and its impact on the country’s economic and legal development.
Rodrigo Ogea, Co-Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie in Spain, addressed attendees, reflecting on the firm’s legacy and reaffirming its long-standing commitment to innovation, diversity, and legal excellence, as well as the enduring trust built with its clients over six decades. “Sixty years ago, Russell Baker and John McKenzie made a bold bet on Spain, believing deeply in the country’s potential. Today, we celebrate the success of that vision, now a living reality of legal excellence, talent, and international collaboration”, Ogea stated.
