Pedro Marques Gaspar joins Amadeus as AI and Privacy counsel
Amadeus has hired Pedro Marques Gaspar, from PwC Tax & Legal, as AI and Privacy counsel, reinforcing the legal team of this company specialized in technology for the travel industry.
“This new stage in Amadeus allows me to combine my experience in privacy and digital regulation with my interest in technological innovation, in a truly international environment and in a company that integrates two sectors that I am passionate about: technology and travel,” Pedro Marques told Iberian Lawyer exclusively.
Pedro Marques Gaspar
Marques has more than thirteen years of experience in data protection, digital regulation and innovation. Before joining Amadeus, he was Manager in the NewLaw team at PwC Tax & Legal in Madrid and has developed his professional career both in top-tier law firms as an in-house lawyer in the technology and hotel sectors, always in multinational environments and in cities such as Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona and Paris.
AI and Privacy counsel
In this position, he will contribute to the development of the global privacy and artificial intelligence compliance strategy, with a special focus on the implementation of the EU AI Regulation. You will work cross-functionally with R&D, data governance, product and security teams to advise on complex risks linked to AI and ensure regulatory alignment on innovative projects.
His responsibilities will also include translating legal and regulatory requirements into concrete operational practices and supporting internal training to reinforce the company’s compliance culture.
